Our Church's History........
On March 12, 1837 a circuit rider preacher named Richard D. Neele (of the Taylorsville District) came to the small farming community of Mt. Washington and preached his first sermon.
In 1843, the community of Methodist belieivers built their first church. Their passion for the Truth of Christ and a personal commitment made this possible.
Over these 169 years many names and faces have passed through the doors of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church in search of the truth.
