Praise the Lord for His Faithfulness...............
Dear Member and/or Friend:
The Bible say in Philippians 1:3-5 (NIV) "I thank you my God every time I remember you." 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now." I can understand Paul's overwhelming joy with the church at Phillipi. I also have that overflowing joy as I have seen God work through you all. The response to our campaign to pay off the debt on our property was awesome. I want to express that joy by saying, "Thank You" for your response in helping to "Roll the Stone Away".
In February of 2000 the members of our church purchased 13+ acres where we believe God is directing us to build a new facility. When we began this year we owed about $60,000 dollars with a balloon payment due November 3rd. Our Church Council believed God wanted us to pay off this debt by the November 3rd date. In March I wrote you a letter asking for your financial support to eliminate this debt. I used the phrase "Roll Away the Stone" in that letter. That phrase caught on as by October 23 reduced the debt to about $16,000 dollars. Again I wrote a letter asking you for one last gift and set the date for October 22nd to receive that offering to pay off our property. I praise God for the amazing response. We received about $20,000 dollars total! Praise God our debt on our property is GONE! God rolled that stone completely away.
I am writing this to thank you for your gifts. Because of you the land is now completely ours! Because of you we can see God's hand bringing us closer to the dream of a new facility for ministry. Because of you, together we have cleared this hurdle that in 2000 we believed would take us much longer to complete. For your help, I want to say, THANKS!
I also want to invite you to a wonderful "Thanksgiving" celetbration on November 19th when we will burn the bank note our trustees signed on our property. This is purely a celebration! I want you there to enjoy the spirit and atmosphere as we give God the thanks this Thanksgiving for His faithfulness.
I thank God that I have the privilege of being the pastor of such a great church like Mt. Washington. Mt. Washington U.M. Church is the best place to experience the blessing of God, enjoy the fellowship of wonderful loving people, and live out my life as a minister fo the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The last 6 years of ministry have been awesome years. Cindy and I look forward to what God has in His plan for us. Again I say, "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel". I want to thank you personally November 19th and pray with all of you with great joy!
Love in Jesus,
Pastor Mark
